Mediation
Mediation can be a cost and time effective alternative to litigation. Many clients are seeing this alternative as an excellent way to resolve their disputes, and they generally reach settlements that are more creative, longer lasting and more suited to their individual circumstances that a judgment they would otherwise receive from a Judge.
Timothy Bayly is a certified mediator and is currentlyassessing files for mediation sutability in the following areas:

'Grande' Cache
On October 23, 2006, Bayly & Prockiw LLP formally opened its doors for business in Grande Prairie and on May 1, 2008, expanded the practice to include an office in Grande Cache.

Timothy
W. U. Bayly
Tim is a partner with our firm in Grande
Prairie. He is a member of both the Law Society of Alberta and of
the Northwest Territories.
After completing his Bachelor of
Education and Bachelor of Laws with the University of Alberta, Tim
articled with a national law firm in Yellowknife,
Northwest Territories.
Tim's current practice
with Bayly & Prockiw LLP consists of Corporate/Commecial Law,
Wills and Estates and dispute mediation.
Tim is a community minded
person. He has been actively involved in the community, coaching wrestling, playing music at Church, being an active member of the local archery clubg, among other things. |

Terry Prockiw
Terry is a partner at Bayly
& Prockiw LLP. His professional path to Grande Prairie began in
2002 upon the completion of a Bachelor of Commerce at the University
of Alberta. Shortly thereafter, in 2005, he earned a Bachelor of
Laws degree from the same institution.
Terry's present aim is
to establish a legal practice that focuses on the law relating to
property. This includes the areas of commercial and residential real
estate transactions, business leasing, condominiums, and land
development generally. |

Born
in Edmonton, Terry grew up in the small town of Smoky Lake, which is
about an hour northeast of the capital. That Smoky Lake is a
community with strong Ukrainian roots helps explain the difficulty
some people have in saying his surname. Correctly, it is pronounced
'prot-skew'.
Away from the office, Terry makes an effort to
be fishing as often as possible. He is also a veteran mechanic/driver, having built and raced demolition derby
for about six summers. In the future, Terry plans to try his hand at
professional writing, and he also hopes to find the time to restore
a classic car or two. |

Terry is the proud husband of Chantal
and daddy of Naomi and Natasha. Together, he and Chantal purpose to walk
daily in the Christian faith. They remain thankful for many
blessings received while serving their church families - Chantal
in the children's departments, and Terry in worship and intercessory
ministries. |
